Hugs to you and Jennifer and Charlotte and Mrs. Louise, Lois. I hpoe all works out well soon. It's not as if this has to be done this week.
If anyone wants to send me the 1995 booklet, I will scan it and return it.
Committee for 2000 was Sissy. Committee for 95 was Sissy and her aids - me, Gaylan, Mike Coleman, EricDeRamus, Peggy Armstrong Dill, I'd need a book to help me remember. It was Sissy's call all the way around. I think to crawl under the dining table…
Dianne, I cannot find that booklet anywhere. I know I had it a couple of years ago looking up someone for a cyber friend. I've crawled thru boxes and boxes. It's here somewhere - pups have shredded nothing gold, lol.
Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. Suzanne was one of my lab partners in advanced bio. We are just too young to die. Does anyone even recall when they weren't a couple? Earl's sister is little cutsey Barbara married to Merle from Bessemer and JSU. I…
Dianne - I'll crawl into boxes today or tomorrow - I'll take it apart and scan one page at a time if/when I find it. I never lose these things. (until now, lol)
Who is in touch with Sissy? That would save so much time if she had saved everything. I…
Dianne,Go right ahead - If I can find my latest booklet I will scan it - I know I can't send that to yahoo groups but probably okay to send to photobucket, don't you think? Wonder if Sissy has that on her computer still - we should ask her so we don…
Back to the internet after Charter was down since Friday night - rough weekend, lol - I don't know what Ms Goperette entails but I'm sure I'm not qualified (call me Joe Biden, lol -sorry, couldn't resist). C'mon Lois you know you want to be the HGIC…
Well Hey Miss Purdy and you still are! As you've seen we've just started talking. Please give any and all input. Lois is away involved in illicit activity (jk - she's gonna slap me for that). She'll be so happy to have another committee member - ass…
You've got some great ideas and that is the place to start, Lois. I agree on the classes idea. Someone is sure to have the book from the last reunion or the one before. Last reunion no one who didn't attend 95 was tracked down as I understand what I…
Oh yeah, Big screen TV - oh yes - you know some SEC team will be playing - I have to watch SEC and JoePA - may need 2 TV's - When do the schedules come out? So could we do Woodward both nights? That is a fantastic idea! Maybe get a discount for doin…
Football is a great idea - how about homecoming weekend? That would be perfect. We could even get mums, lol. Maybe dinner before or after? What is large enough in H'town? Some place we could have some one else prepare and clean up? Guess we'd need t…
I nominate you, Lois. i realize we have always had them in the summer, and I always assumed that was because people had children in school. Surely that is no longer the case. I have read that August is the second biggest month for weddings. If this…
Hang in there, lovey. There are times after all these years that I would like to have that little weed dangling between my fingers...unually after a glass of wine or something. It does get easier. My mom still smokes like a stack and will be 87 in Aug. Her doc doesn't even fuss.
I do love dogs and I like to think I'm a fairly good man. Job hunting is not going well and I thought the News article would help but it didn't generate any leads. Just so many people in the job market and an old guy doesn't stand much of a chance. I finished school the year after you I wish I could find my junior annual so I could put a face to the name. Anyway keep in touch.
James
Lets see... Dad would have graduated in 1964 I think - but he had some kind of major accident and had to drop out just before graduation if I remember correctly. Speaking of accidents, I came on the scene right about that time too - so he had to start working to support his (very) young wife and new kid! Seems like a very different age..... back when most men actually took such responsibilities seriously! ....but I digress....
Here's some pictures of my dad: http://hhsgophers.ning.com/profile/DavidLeeCrocker19452008 Mom dropped out to raise me, so she never actually made it to high school. She would have been in class of 68, I think. Here's a picture of her: http://hhsgophers.ning.com/photo/1912883:Photo:158562?context=user
Hmm.... I don't think Dee Crocker is part of my clan. We had an Annie Crocker (later -Sides, later -Helms) that graduated HHS, but I was thinking that she graduated around 1972 - so not sure if that would be her. Annie's gone to the next realm now, unfortunately, so can't ask her!
I guess Linda Jones is a pretty common name, huh? People probably ask you that kind of stuff all the time. LOL Well.... welcome to the site anyway - it's a blast catching up with people you haven't seen in 20+ years!
Eddie, class of '67, from Mr. Patterson's speech class, and UAB we had a class or two together, I believe.
I haven't seen you since UAB. I dropped out and got drafted, then came back for a couple of years on the GI Bill but never finished. All that stuff is on "My Page" here on the website.
It's good to hear from you. This is a good place to catch up with old friends.
Hey Linda Jones! Welcome to the site. Are you the Linda J. that my mom and dad knew years ago??? (speaking of David and Linda Crocker) If so, mom is on the site too - now listed as "Linda Clark Myers". I've put up a memorial page for Dad.... long story, but the end result was that he died this past year. Anyway.... I just happened to see your name and I know that they hung around with a Linda Jones years ago. Just wondered if you are her!
