After finishing school, Nashville was home to me, so I stayed (much to the chagrin of some members of my family)! I worked at the Department of Children's Services for 5 years with foster placements, biological families, and kids of all ages in foster placements with the state of Tennessee. That had its rewarding moments, but was both physically and emotionally draining! In November, 1998 I had the opportunity to come back to Vanderbilt and work in the Special Ed department on a grant where we work with kids who have developmental delays and teach their parents strategies for helping them. LOVE IT! It's amazing how much easier it is to work with parents who WANT help!! I am also continually learning new things about kids & how they develop, and about working with parents, so that's pretty cool.
I'm eternally in college and eternally a sports groupie.
I am crazy about Vanderbilt football, baseball, and basketball--And, like all self-respecting Bama or Vandy fans, I detest all things orange. What is the only sign of intelligent life in Knoxville? Nashville 271 miles!!!!
UMMMMM---4 and 0----go dores!

No, I have not heard from her since she and Chris divorced.
I am glad that this website was formed since it is letting me reconnect with a lot of old friends. Being out here in Arizona, I don't have any friends. My best friend (over the last 6 years) lives in Mufreesboro, TN.
Thanks. If you would ever like to read the adoption story that I wrote (it was published in a national adoption magazine) e-mail me at jmmom@cox.net and I will send it to you.
