I got married August 21, 1993. My wife is from Texas. Her name is Rose. I met her through a friend I grew up with in church. His job moved him to Texas where he met his wife. They moved to Alabama several years later. His wife met me and told me she had a cousin that would be perfect for me. I had heard that before but apparently she was right. I called Rose and talked on the phone with her for an hour. Neither of us like to talk long on the phone. Most of our dating was over the phone. We got married and have been happy ever since. We have two daughters 14 and 12 years old. We got married late in life. I was 38 and she was 34. We tell people we had our grandkids first.

Remember the word for ice skating? Schlitzchulaufen. Remember how we used to say SH!Tshulaufen, and Mrs. Schachtsiek would correct us by saying, NO, it's schLITZschulaufen, SCHLITZschulaufen! I don't know how we did that with a straight face! hehehehee

Hi Ray, it is GREAT to hear from you! Congratulations on your marriage! You sound like you are very happy, and I am soooo glad for you! I have very fond memories of you in school. I think we had the German class together. Do you remember any German words? In retrospect, I think we probably should have taken Spanish, hahahaa. Oh, by the way, please be sure to join your class of 1973 under Groups. If you don't see it right away, use the Search query and it should pop right up for you.
Best to you,
Debbie
Hi Ray!
It is great to see you here. I am so glad to see that you are doing well these days and that you have a family. I notice that your profile states that you graduated in the class of 1974. We're having a reunion in August. It would be nice if you could be there.
Take care,
Debbie
