HYCHE'S STORE IN CONCORD.
I WORKED AT HYCHE'S FROM 1951 TIL 1959. FRANK , FRED AND TUCK WERE MY SUBSTITUTE FATHER AS MY FATHER DIED IN 1950. WE LIVED ON THE CORNER OF OAKWOOD DR AND WARRIOR RIVER RD. THEY TAUGHT ME THE VALUE OF WORK AND MANY OTHER OF LIFES LESSONS. FRED IS STILL ALIVE AND LIVES ACROSS FRON THE UNION HILL BAPT CHURCH. HE IS IN HIS 90'S NOW BUT AS OF LAST YEAR FRED AND MRS HYCHE WERE DOING GREAT. THE HYCHES WERE PILLARS OF THE COMMUNITY. - glad to hear from you. yes, my life is pretty exciting. boy do I ever remember the skating rink. seems I spent the greater part of my life there. the rest of my life was at warrior river. can't seem to stay away from the water. looking to buy a house in the keys in a few months.

- Leon, I remember alot of the things you talk about on here. I went to Concord, Pittman and Hueytown, Class of 1974. I work at the farm and have spoken to you some and I have worked with Scott in the past. Scott is a great guy, I really do like him. Funny how small the world really is!!!

Bobbie and I won't be able to make the reunion. She has had problems with her back and has not been able to walk for the last month or so. We really would like to attend but, as things stand now, it does not look promising.
We attended my 50th reunion last year and had a great time visiting with all of our former classmates and Bobbie was really looking forward to doing the same this year.
If her health improves so that we can come, I will contact Kay and see if we can register at that late date.
We have been receiving e-mails from Kay on a fairly regular basis and certainly would like to continue to receive them.

Bobbie and I were talking about the 50th reunion and have seen nothing on it. Is it still in the planning stages? We had a great time at my 50th reunion and Bobbie is looking forward to see everyone again.

teresa spear dobbins said… - Yes my dad was bill spears. I took piano from your mom when i was little. Everyone says I play just like her. Boy she could make that piano talk. I was the pianist at concord hgld baptist for 35 years until I moved to st. Louis. Now we live outside of st. joe Mo. She was a very good teacher and a sweet lady. After she quit I took from evelyn stone. Didn't you have a sister named Janice?
