Hey Nita, Wayne Thomas here ,I talked to Van the other day and he said to tell you Hello. He's doing ok for himself. He is in the middle of a divorce right now. He was married for 35 years to the same woman and she made his life misserable foe 34 of those years. He is on here somewhere I think, if not I will get him on. Take care and let me hear from you. Wayne Thomas
Hey Honey! You ok? All the babies ok? Glo ok? Life good? We're going camping in Cherokee for about 12 days in October - gonna take in Cades Cove for the 8000th time and go to Cataloochee and see if we see some of the elk and hear them bugling. And try to catch some trout, too. And hunt antique glass at the flea market. We're going to be in the KOA campground beside the Raven Fork River. I'm ready! Have the babies been doing any funny stuff lately? I love looking at their pictures. Bye now..............
Girl..........it's a much tempting offer but I must answer no. I have no place to put him and noway to transport him. The only horse equipment I still own is a pair of jumping boots and a pair of cowboy boots. He sure looks nice and will make a great little ride with some TLC for the next couple of years. Best of luck to you both. I really would love to have him and thanks so much for the unbelievable offer. It's typical timimg for me. About 6 or 7 years ago I went to a tack sale just for the heck of it. Well, I got carried away (of course) and bought myself a saddle, bridle, 3 bites, hay bag and a Billy Cook girth. I had no horse or any real hopes of getting one. Yes, call me crazy the name fits very well. But I've gotten rid of it all. The girth, bites and hay bag only about 2 months ago. Can you believe it?
Hope to talk to you again soon......your pal, Deb
Well Hey yourself, talk about a blast from the past. Goodness me, I don't even want to count the years. Laurie? No, not in probably 30 years or more. Wish we could re-visit some of those good old days. Wouldn't thaat be a blast? TTYL.....Deb
You'll have to call my home phone. They found my phone in Vancouver, and were to ship it out today. Said it would take 6 - 10 days. Carbon Hill, huh???? How much luggage did you have to check? LOL!!! Hope you have a happy 4th of July - talk to ya soon!
Hey, Honey!!! Bobby and I got in yesterday morning at 1>00 from Alaska trip! We had been up about 46 hours when we got here, so we're still zombies! It was a great trip! We flew into Seattle and went to the Space Needle and then to wharf area for dinner. Then bussed the next day to Vancouver (where I LOST MY BLOOMING PHONE!!!!) and got on Diamond Princess cruise ship and spent 7 days. Then spent a day and night in Anchorage at their Summer Solstice festival. Next got on the Alaska Railroad and went to Denali/Mt. McKinley and spent a couple more days. Saw MANY whales, seals, caribou, grizzlies, Dall sheep, a wolf, MANY bald eagles and golden eagles, snowshoe hares, and Lord knows what else I can't remember right now! We had a friend and her daughter who went on the Seattle and cruise part with us but had to leave before the train trip. So t iwas Bobby and me for the train and Denali. SO, we are now up for air and back in "biness" - I don't think I'll fly anywhere else for a while. We had to be re-routed from Anchorage on the way back due to a medical emergency, so it took us about 26 hours of flying and sitting in airports to get home. My backside is weary!
The shuttle service found my phone in Vancouver, so they are shipping it back to me today. Talk about feeling isolated!!! I hope I don't do that again. Must have slipped out of my bag.
What's up in MM? All the ponies and pups and birds and y'all all doing good? Have any of them learned any new tricks or have any new "procedures" done?
We were in the garden yesterday afternoon and the cutest tuxedo cat walked up. We've seen him a few times before, but he wouldn't get close to us.... so I had to encourage him, didn't I? He finally walks over very cautiously, and just as I think he is going to rub against my leg, he bit the FIRE out of my big toe! Doesn't look like we'll be friends.
It's pretty early still over here, so I think I'll go back to bed and try to catch a few more zzzzzzzzzzzz's. I think my clock is still in some other time zone.
Hay....looks like we have a lot in common...i was in school with your brothers and had a crush on both at the tender of age of 9 or 10 when we all went skating. Where, way back in the country, are you? We are in Blount Co between Snead and Brooksville off Hwy 278. I have not read all you stuff but do y'all trail ride?
Watcha upto? I'm back to weeding the flower bed and doing a few outside things. I'm probably at about 90 - 95%. MUCH better! We're leaving for Alaska 2 weeks from this Friday - we're all excited! I'm ready to pack. First we're taking another cruise - this one from Vancouver to Whittier, then staying on a few extra days - either taking a train trip to Denali Park or down to the coast for Bobby to go fishing. We'd better get to deciding!
What have y'all been up to at MM? I saw the horse headed for the deck. You'd better hide the car keys. He doesn't know he's a horse!
The reason I'm writing on here is my email is not working - I need to slow down enough to call microsoft and see what the problem is. Just one day I saw I had all these emails sitting in the outbox.
OMG that is one scary picture! I almost didn't recognize myself with that god awful hair. I don't think I have that picture anywhere. Which is unusual because I keep all sorts of crap like that. And, I do not even remember it. I really need to stop killing brain cells. Thanks for sharing!
Girl, so glad to hear from you!! Kenny and I built a house over on Edgehill Drive a year ago, so I am back in Hueytown where I belong! I, too, feel orphaned - it's like there is no one in charge but us, that's just plain scary. I love the pix of your critters - I only have two cats - when can I come over to ride? Can't believe you still have that 3 wheeler. Kenny and I are the proud owners of Lane's old one. Danny refurbished it, wrecked it, we bought to keep it in the family, fixed and would like to sell it now. Callme and let me know next time you're coming to Hueytown - 951-0921 - I would really love to see you! Love ya', Nita!
I'm having a problem sending emails, so I had to come here instead. I'm FINE!!!!! Feeling much better - I'm probably at 80% now and maybe more! I even worked with Bobby yesterday for a few hours and didn't give out! I'm back to the doctor next Wednesday, hopefully getting a clean bill of health! I wish you could have remembered your dreams. Mine are always weird, but always entertaining, too! Like going to the all-night movies! Larry & Judy Hawkins Cox's mother (on Longview Dr) passed away Sunday, and I'm going to Hueytown today for the funeral. Wish I had time to come up and visit MM, but gotta get back home tonight - have a family weekend trip planned. Be a sweetie!
Hey Honey!!!! You won't believe where I am and what I'm doing. It has to do with me.... isolation..... and the CDC. No, it is not swine flu. Call me on my cell when you get this. Bye!
