I attended Ensley High School, but I married Lee Ledford class of 1986, and I have lots of friends from Hueytown High, through Garywood Assembly. We have been married for 20 years this summer and have two beautiful children, 14 and 11. We live in the DC area (for 5 years now).
Meredith,
I thoroughly enjoyed your picture show. You guys have been so many places and seen so many wonderful things. I love the camel pics and the ones of the kids with the elephants in the background. What a dream life for all of you. The pictures from the past were nice too. It is fun to remember days that were much easier; if only I had known then, I would have enjoyed them more but made better decisions. Oh well.
Do you guys ever hear from Guy Burgess?
Lee has been so nice to me and I just had to stop by your page. I am so grateful for this site and all the positive people here. It really comes at a time I need it!
Thanks for allowing me to stop by and spend a little time with you and your beautiful family.
Melissa
By the way, I really like your music too!!
Hey Girl! You family is beautiful! And what a blessing to get to travel like that! Twenty years! Congrats! We are at 17 1/2 yrs. It is great to hear from yall. I am slow at this sometimes, but I do like to keep up with my friends.
Tell Lee I said hello. We were in DC about five years ago with the youth group (Paul was youth pastor at Garywood from 2002-2007). We would like to come back up there and see all that we didn't get to see.
Hey, could it be my long lost piano teacher? So great to hear from you! Your pictures are awesome - love the ones of the Messenger group. I hope you won't be upset that I haven't really kept up with the piano stuff. I did take about a year of classical guitar here in Nepal to get a study visa. I kind of fiddle with it, but I'm not very good. My wife and I sing in a choral group here - that is our musical outlet. Tell Lee I said hello. I can't believe he was in Nepal! Will he ever have a reason to visit again in the future? If so, he needs to let us know. Take care!
Rock On Messenger!!!!!!! Did you know that was one of mine and Oscar's first dates??? You are still beautiful as always and your children and precious!!!! Seeing all your pics, WOW!!! Oscar and I are jealous!!!! We would love to travel like that one day!!!! Gosh how time does fly? Oscar and I celebrated 15 years this past December. Do you all get to come back home to Alabama much? We would love to see you guys and have an old Garywood Youth Group reunion!!!! We kinda did that at John John's 40th birthday party this year! It was great seeing everyone! Tell Lee we said Hello! Look forward to keeping up with you! Julie
Meredith & Lee ,,,Great to hear from you. It has been many years, but i've tried to keep up with ya'll through your family. (as i see them arround town) Your kids are huge!!! It seems like you just had them...Time moves fast and seems to moving faster here lately. Loved the pics of your family and your web site. Your artwork is great. I see the influence of your travels in your works. I hope to see more! Maybe we can catch up next year. Carmine and i are talking about vacationing near DC next summer. Keep in touch, John John
Hey Meredith, Thanks for the comments about the kids. They definately keep us busy!! I am sure you hear all the time how much your daughter favors you! They are both a great combo of the two of you.
I wouldn't worry about not being an HHS grad. There are several people on this site that didn't actually graduate from Hueytown. There are so many people on here now, I don't think anyone will notice!! It is great just being about to reconnect with old friends. Anyway, I will still work on Pat!! Tracy
Hey Meredith! I dont know if you will remember me or not. I lived next door to the Ledfords in Hueytown. It is great to see you guys are doing so well. Keep in touch!
