Ahhhh. Divorce. The one word which instills fear, loathing, anger, glee, tears, joy, laughter, groans, moans, fits of cursing (angelic and/or devilish), and many other emotions too numerous to list at this time. A word when you look into the mirror…
I am on my fourth. I have been married so many time I have my Christmas cards printed from James Earl and (fill in the blank) Roberson. I have a divorce ATM card put in a PIN and out a divorce comes. Kidding aside I have been married to my fourth an…
It's okay...so long ago now. When I got back from the Army Messer & Debbie & others (incl. Mom) told me Krickett was "busy" while I was gone! I knew she was a bit of a nympho, but thought she could wait 4 months...lol!! Apparently not even a week!!…
I am a Hueytown graduate, class of 91. Just thought I would update this page....a lot has changed since I have updated. I am still the same crazy person, just doing a little better now....good days and bad. Just trying to get through the holidays as a single parent without losing too much of my mind. I have made a lot of new friends and expanded my horizons...my family is getting used to all the changes that we have been through. Caitie just turned 18, Ashley is 14, and Brynley is 3. I just changed jobs.....I finally decided on my old job....went back to UAB Medical West......working med/surg/oncology. This month makes 17 years now that I have been a nurse. I feel old. Oh well, this is my page, enjoy....gonna be posting more recent pictures and some less depressing music....promise.
Luckily I fought off the urge to hang myself with the undergarments after no. 3 and I'm glad I did. Finally, I am pretty happy... I had been on some sort of quest for years to find my soulmate and the picket fence, the Cleavers, all that stuff, and it left me stressed out all the time - not to mention the attorney fees, whew! Now, I am learning how to just be me, and that I can be whole, without a "better half". If I ever do it again I think I will finally be ready, after conquering some of the co-dependency stuff that follows a lot of us multiple marrying/chronic divorcing types... A friend of mine said that I could still be swept off my feet if I wasn't careful... I told her that it would have to be a hell of a broom. You couldn't think of a song you would sing if your ex was getting remarried and they actually trusted you to play the music for the reception? I think it is going to be one of the most hilarious gigs that we have ever played. I'll let you know how it goes. Talk to ya later. H.
Hey Melinda, I enjoyed your "how many times divorced?" forum.. three for me and have finally figured out that maybe I am not marriage material... Anyway, just wanted to drop you line and let you know that I enjoyed the posts. Stand by for strange ironic happenings that divorce can bring. For example: I play guitar and sing with a buddy of mine, country, Americana, a little blues... anyway, we have been hired to play the wedding reception party for one of my exwives... actually ex-wife number two (aka "The Punisher"). Me and the Punisher had the worst, mudslinging, knifefighting divorce that you can imagine and nine years later have actually become somewhat civil with one another. Picking songs to sing at your exwife's wedding party is a fairly delicate matter.... If you have suggestions for songs I would love to hear 'em. Hang in there lady. Sounds like you are gonna be fine to me. have a great day. H.
Melinda: Thank you back! Did you read what I replied in your "divorced discussion?" Let me know what you think.

Melinda, those books are wonderful, to submit poetry. That is how most writers get started. When your name keeps coming up,people take notice. That shows consistency.I remember my first, seeing my name in print.....that was payment enough. Keep submitting.
My cell is 790-5069 and my home 822-5230. Feel free to call me.

I think that's a very noble job you're about to take on. I know it's probably scary, but you will touch the lives of so many kids that truly need it. Yes, the older I get the more I also want to do things that I've never done, after all we only live once! I sent you a private message about the investigation you asked about. Just let me know when you can. Talk to you then.....
