Theresa,
Hey, obviously I don't check in too often. You can email me at flamingomia@aol.com. I think I've become a faux hermit in the past couple of years. It must be for the first time, I've been able to stay home and not run around taking care of "something" or "someone". (Plus it is winter...ARUGH!!) It's like I tell Susan...if she wants me to do anything with her, she has to come pry me out of the house...and she has to do the driving. Hey, she's retired, she needs to stay in practice. (giggle). I am still at the "new" AT&T and plan to stay there a few more years.
YEs we did! I still have it! I got to meet him at an Auburn Alabama game 3 years ago. My son was on the football team and I got to sit down with him and he is still great! He was so nice and so funny. I have a picture of him and my son together in the locker room. I showed him my old autographed picture. Very old looking though. I guess we are too lol
I still laugh about those things. My great aunt made them for me so my toes wouldn't get cold! That borken leg was from a skate board accident at Janice Solowes house.
We were lucky to live in such an innocent time. Boy we 60's kids had a wonderful time. Me and Vicki Meade were talking about how we all walked home from school and all stopped at that store! I'll bet that lady hated to see 3:00 come every day.
Good to hear from you. Ever hear from KAthy Russell?
Just got your other message. We are in Destin for a few days. When we
get home I will e-mail you. I am typing on my laptop and not doing too good
a job. Larry is wanting to get out and do something. It is beautiful here. Does
your Mom live in Tennessee? My Mother is still alive also and will be 90 this
fall. She lives by herself but we live next to her.
Helen passed away years ago but I can't remember what year. I really don't
have a frame of reference but our son was little and he is 33 now. Lauren
Jones called me and told me but I don't think I have talked to her since then.
She married a guy who is a coach in Bessemer or somewhere and had two
girls and a stepson. I have seen Tim Smith several times because he is
a nurse at Brookwood Hospital. I talk to Judy Green some because Larry has
had business with her husband and Judy is about the only person that I know
where she is. Sounds like you have had a very interesting life. Larry and I
have had and are still having a wonderful life. I think Franklin Tenn would be
a great place to live. It is so beautiful there. You still haven't told me what
takes up your time. Do your grandchildren live in New York? Do you ever
come back to Alabama? We have not been to any Rutledge Reunions but
went to a couple of Hueytown reunions but there were not many people from
Rutledge there.
