I will celebrate 34 years of marriage to my husband Dan (Hueytown class of 1972) in December 2008. I have an accounting degree but did not use it. I taught math to 6th grade students and enjoyed every minute of it before I retired. We have one son (David) that currently attends Auburn University (areospace engineering) and plays tuba in the marching band. He enjoys the band and received all the musical talent I did not have! We live in Powder Springs, Georgia which is on the west side of Atlanta.
Hey Martie! It is great to see you on here. It sounds like you have done well. Your son is very cute. How long have you been in Georgia and what about the rest of your family?
Of course I remember you - and how could I forger the "chair." I still feel bad about that.
Sorry to be so long replying. This site is blocked at my office and I don't surf much at home.
It is ironic that you have an accounting degree but taught math. I was getting a math degree and changed to accounting because I did not know what to with a math degree!!!
If's cool that your son is in the Auburn band. I tried to get my kids interested in music but the boys all played football and my daughter cheered so no time for music.
It is good to hear from you. I hope to see you at the 35th reunion.
Hi Martie, I don't know if you remember me but I certainly remember you. I'm glad to see you here and hear about what you have been doing. Your son is cute and sounds like he is very smart. Although, if he were truly smart, he would be at Alabama! Just Kidding!
Great picture of your son in the Auburn Band. You brought your boy up right!!!! Ask your son if he knows Timothy Caine who is also in the Greater Auburn Band. Timothy is the son of Larry Caine who is from Hueytown. Timothy grew up in our church out here. Have a good weekend WDE!!!!
Hi Martie! It's great to see you here! I'm so glad to know that you have a beautiful family and have enjoyed much success over the years. It's also wonderful to know that you've provided a loving home for the homeless animals you found at the shelter. They are really the BEST! Many thanks for stopping to write and say hello. I am so looking forward to the reunion and hopefully to seeing you there.
Take care,
Debbie

How is Dan? I used to sit and have long talks with him in the gym. I gather from one of the pictures, he is into astronomy? Nice 'scope!
Y'all can email me any time via button56 at netzero dot net. I wrote it that way to make it a little harder for 'spambots'.
Later!
James
