I'm sorry to say I have an addition to this list. My friend Tony Dale Crittenden passed away Jan. 3. 2007. I hadn't heard from him in quite a while and it was almost two years after his death when I ran across his obit from a funeral home in Halevil…

About Me:
Bobby Jones and I were married in 1968, and moved to Huntsville, where we still live. We have 2 daughters, Stasha and Erin. Stasha lives in Wichita Falls, Texas. Her husband, Dean is a music minister, and she is childrens choir co-ordinator for their church. Erin is married to Dr. Mark Schmidt. She is an attorney, and also teaches at Shelton State. Stasha is the mother of our 2 grandchildren, Nathan, 8 and Lilly Grace, 4. Just celebrated our 40th anniversary. We live on 2 and a half acres on Green Mountain, filled with azeleas, rhododendrons, daylillies, and Iris. We love to garden!
I have been working at the Preschool at our church for 30 years, and love it. When Bob isn't gardening, he is restoring a hot rod, or boating.

That's right. We lived in a brick house (2010 High School Road) on the corner of Edgewood Drive not far from where the Tidwell's lived. Have lost touch with most people from HHS since I'm so far away. Nice to here from people though.

Marcia, I've enjoyed seeing your pictures. My and wife and I enjoy gardening as well. We often joke we are like kids in a candy store when we go to a nursery! Gardening and yard work are both good therapies in our hectic world. Mom (Louise Steen) asked me about your Dad the other day. How is he? Take Care, WS

Hey y'all,
Looks like y'all might live in heaven already. What great pictures and memories your pictures bring back. I think back and remember, everyone just knew Bobby and Marcia would be together forever. Looks like you still have that same love you had back then. Thanks for sharing such wonderful pics.

These pictures are great! BTW, has Lee Henry or Pam Segars gotten on here? If not, send them an invitation. I know we've got them on FB, but they need to be here also! : )

Hey Bob, I thought it was you! Mom and Dad are in Pleasant Grove. They've been there for a long time now. Dad has several health problems, among them end-stage COPD and severe osteoporosis. He's had several broken bones over the last few years that have kept him in and out of UAB. Last October, we thought we were going to lose him. But, once again, he rallied and is doing very well now for the shape that he's in. He gets around on a scooter and the slightest excertion causes him to gasp for air. He doesn't like being so limited, but he tries to make the best of it. Mom is doing very well and takes great care of Dad. Sometimes Dad talks of the old Scout troop. I think he really enjoyed working with you guys. He and I both remember you, Phil Kelly, Larry Carroll, Bobby and Tommy Martin, Butch Ellis and Jimmy Russell. I think there was another fellow named Harrison that lived on Circle Drive on the other side of Brooklane.

If you remember me at all, it's probably as "Rickey". Most of my family still calls me Rick, but everyone else knows me as Richard. My wife and live in Sheffield, over in the Shoals area. I moved up here in '77 to work in the hospital where I'm now working again. My wife is from Leighton and we married in '78. We have two children and a 4 month old grandson.

Well, this has been a longer trip down Memeory Lane than I intended it to be, so I'll close for now. I'll be sure to tell Dad that we "talked" the next time I talk to him. It's good to catch up with you.

Bobby, Did you grow up in Bessemer Gardens? If you are who I think you are, you were in my dad's scout troop, Troop 22 - my dad is Bruce Green.
