What year did you graduate?
HHS, 1983.
About Me:
"Lost everything twice, therefore, have nothing to lose." Now that's an apropos and applicable description of my life after May 1983! Lived in "the other hometown" of Jacksonville, FL '88 - '03 and was downsized and/or laid-off every 3 - 5 years while there but got over it. Made a reluctant return to the B'ham Metro Area in early '03 so as to better address health and financial issues, one begat the other. Didn't know it until my mid - 30's but lucky me is a Celiac Sprue case (Google it!), hence my never having meat on me bones, and had to get used to a special diet for the rest of my years upon this earth. Since 2003 a MailSouth tenure here, a Mrs. Stratton's tenure there,... Medical community said slow down, again, after Ing. Hernia surgery in '05. Here in 2008 I'm in the midst of regroup after an "extended era of hike, mt. bike, camp and REST activity" and it looks like the proverbial "desk job" and/or more school. Sumptin' bout adapt or perish... A TN/GA/FL Lottery windfall would be a plus. But I digress...

- From the song "Far Cry" by Rush, CD "Snakes & Arrows". Lyrics by Neil Peart.

O-K, it's 2009 and almost everyone's American Dream has been greatly compromised in come capacity. Some have to play less golf, some have to downsize to a smaller house/condo/apartment, and some live in a tent and eat cold green beans out of a can. But everyday we still have oxygen in our lungs is a… Continue

Hi Kevin. How nice of you to post a warm birthday wish for me. That shows just how thoughtful you are, and something so simple goes a long way. You are so sweet. I had a WONDERFUL birthday. Yep...mid-40s already, and I'm loving it. My youngest child graduated high school on May 22, and we are just about empty-nesters. I pray that this comment finds you doing very well also. Have a great day!

Hey Kevin! Good to hear from you. I knew you were on here and have read some of the forums already. Are you still playing that bass guitar?
Yeah, Michael and I have been together 19 years. Can you believe that? You haven't changed much appearance-wise other than that grey beard of yours. Looks distinguished!
As for you going to Florida, well at least you left the state. We have been here in Hueytown all this time and rarely leave.
The kids are good. Erica just graduated in May and is headed to UAB. As you can see, she is a drummer just like Michael was in school. Loves the snare drum more than anything. She played set too in the Jazz Band at school. We are very proud of her.
Kayla can play a little guitar and took piano for 5 years. She was the school mascot this past year. I wish she would do it again but she won't.
Anyway, glad to see you are still going strong and we are the same age!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I cannot believe how fast time flies. It seems like yesterday we were in Pittman. Poor Mr. Harrison, I gave him a hard time. Hope things are well with you. Take care. Kristine

I had forgotten about that sign. I never knew what it said; that was apropos, however. By the time we were getting to school that late in the year, we were under the influence and out of time. They'd already taken the letters off when we saw it. I remember Douglas playing drums in a band. The only event I saw them play at was some sort of festival in the park on 150 in Bessemer, around '82/'83 or so. "I don't remember, I was really drunk at the time."

Thank you for helping me.
