Since graduating from Auburn in Electrical Engineering in 1984, I've lived in Madison, AL, just outside of Huntsville. My wife's name is Rhonda, and we have two teenagers, Parker and Courtney. Rhonda is from Florence, AL, where she attended Central High. She was in banking and later mortgages, but currently stays home. We attend Madison Church of Christ.
Our oldest, Courtney, is down at Auburn now, studying chemical engineering with a pre-med option, on academic scholarship. Parker is about to be a senior in high school.
I still play guitar, but mostly acoustic stuff now - blues, bluegrass, folk, old time gospel. I've also picked up the banjo as a regular habit, and play around with the mandolin and dobro. I've taught both kids to play guitar. Rhonda is playing around with the banjo and dobro. Our house is always noisy!
Workwise, I've mostly been involved with developing computer simulations for the government (Army, Air Force, OSD, NATO, others), and for a variety of local companies (AEgis, SAIC). We do a lot of missile design analysis, and concept weapon studies. The job has had the nice side effect of taking me around the world, to Korea, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, all over the U.S.... and more to come, I'm sure.
I worked for Nokia for a couple of years, but when they left town I started a small software company named Thought Studios ( http://www.thought-studios.com ). We develop and sell multimedia software to the consumer market. We did this full time for about a year, but now we just work it on the side.
I've missed all of the high school reunions, unfortunately. At the ten year reunion I was out of the country on business travel. I didn't know about the 20th until after it happened. My parents are still down in Rock Creek, so I get down to the Hueytown area every now and then, but not as much as I should. Optimistic I'll see some old classmates at the 30th!
Keep in touch with me on Facebook... On the Facebook search bar, look for Ken Hunt, and for school put Auburn. I'm the one in the Huntsville/Decatur area!
I hope everyone is well, and life has been good to you. I am blessed beyond anything I could ever deserve.
Well... that was more than you could possibly want to know about me... but I keep seeing everyone else's page and thinking... tell us more!!!
You Ken Hunt are a BIG GOOF! Probably my favorite big goof, but a big goof for sure! Drop me a note, I get up to Florence, H'ville and Decatur once a month or so and can't wait to hear about the last twenty or thirty years. G.R. Jenkins
Hey Ken, of course I remember you! You were one of the more interesting people that I knew in high school. It sounds like you have done well, which gives me hope for my daughter. She is also an interesting person. Do you ever talk to James? Keep in touch. My husband is from Huntsville and we sometimes go up there. I would love to see you.
Hey Ken, I was able to attend the reunion meet and it was great! I hope to be involved myself in anyway possible. We were able to get past picking a venue. I'm hoping to be able to attend a few more meets. After the meet a few of us went out on the town (Hueytown that is) Dodie, Barry Humphries, Stephanie Douglass, Natalie Pylant and myself had a blast...check out the photos on my page! Take care
Hey Ken, Where is that Ken hair man!!!! I don't mean it is gone....well it is just, ya know, too normal. Alas, mine never will be! We will post any info for ya. We just don't have a clue yet. I think we are supposed to just be in the process of picking a venue.
Ken, yes I do remember you. I hope I wasn't that bad . After all you had a stereo (8-track) and white letter tires and chrome rims (painted) how cool was that for a school bus. You lived two doors down from Trish and Lei Crunk
Thank you for your comments. I have read your profile its sure sounds like you have been blessed.
Hi Ken, glad I found you on here, stay posted for more info hopefully soon. Just saw your message and noticed you're out of town. It's nice of you to want to help from afar and after the next meeting maybe more can be determined and start progressing. So good to know life has been good and you have a wonderful family it seems. Congrats! Facebook also reconnected me with Trish Crunk and we plan to get together soon. This site has been wonderful also! Sorry you missed both of our reunions but hopefully you will make this one. Glad I found you on here and we'll be in touch.
Hey Ken!! So great to hear from you! It's wonderful to see how well you have done and how happy you are. And OMG...I had no idea what an exciting career you have ~ you've come a long way from our cheerleading days for sure! Keep in touch ~ and again great to hear from you......
Hello Ken. Haven't seen you or Vicky in years, nor your folks. Even though I now live back in the Rock Creek area I don't see many of the people from the church group...though Pan still attends there. Good to know you're well.
