I definitely remember attending Mrs. Curly's kindergarten. The big treat was to be allowed to get the juice for snack time. You will be amazed, but I still have the towel that was required for nap time. It is a great memory!!!
Mrs. Curly's kindergarden used to be on Pinewood Avenue going towards Concord. It was a very small kindergarden so I thought I would see how many of us are still around that went there.

- About Me:
My name is Kathy Peoples- Savelio. I was suppose to graduate in 1983. That was the class I was in but in the summer before I was to be a Junior, I got married and moved to Greece and finished getting my diploma. I am very happily married to my husband Mark and we reside in Biloxi, Ms. Mark my husband who is from Hawaii, is a meteorologist in the Air Force and we have less than 5 years left before he retires. I have done alot of different things in my life from real estate assistant to early childhood development of which I hold an associate degree. I am a stay at home Mom and wife and grandmother which I have to say is wonderful. We have 3 kids..2 girls who are grown and on their own and then we have a 10 year old son. I have been all over the world but nothing is more comforting than coming home to Alabama and visiting Hueytown and remembering my years there. I would love to find people that I went to school with and reconnect with them.

My mom, believe it or not, still lives in the same place, and she is doing well. My sister lives in the McCalla area, and she is doing great. Neither one of them has changed a bit, they still look the same.

- Thanks Kathy. It really was a shock. Darryl's parents are doing ok, just taking one day at a time. Anytime someone loses a child, of course it's difficult. It was especially hard on Jean because she's the one that found him. Our son, Daniel, was very close to Brian. He got a tribute tattoo in memory of Brian. I'll have to post a picture of it on my page, after it heals.
