Let's see, a long time to summarize, isn't it? NO, who said that? LOL I'm still single, never married, no children. I'm in a wheelchair now, but that just means I have to find a different way to get things done. Two years at Samford before transferring to Auburn to get a BS in Wildlife Biology. I stayed in Auburn working toward an MA in Communication, tried to run from God's call on my life for full time vocational ministry. During that time I did an internship as counselor in drug and alcohol rehab/men's discipleship home/halfway house. As I tried to finish up my MA, doors started closing on me. I had completed the academic requirements and decided to go ahead and move on to seminary. I finished 3 masters degrees at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary: a MDiv in Psychology and Counseling, a MA in Christian Education with an emphasis in Social Work, and a MA in Marriage and Family Counseling. Finishing with the last requirements for the MACE and MAMFC in May '98 I graduated with those two degrees and moved back to Hueytown.
I started working full time at BMC Princeton as chaplain in the Clinical Pastoral Education program, finishing a residency there. I followed up with a position at the VA Medical Center in Birmingham as chaplain, later working also at the VA in Tuscaloosa. Those are contract positions, and though I'm still the contract chaplain there, right now there are no hours for me. I have home businesses that I am working, as well as pastoring an online church. I have a non profit ministry focusing on support and services through the internet. The target is homebound, disabled, and caregivers. I provide support groups, and services for these, and others who are interested. A primary target is grief work/recovery; but it's not a limited ministry in that sense. I still live in Hueytown, now on Ray Ave, back of the High School, and in front of Dairy Queen. Great location here! :) The family is still close by, though my parents are in poor health now. I'm glad to be here catching up with people, renewing friendships with people I was in school with and those who I know through other means, but who share this same bond with me.

Hi John, I just wanted to check on you and see how you are doing? I haven't seen you on here in a while. Hope you are feeling well!!!!
Take care, Tammy
Hi John, Hope you have a great birthday tomorrow!!! Looks like you all had a great time at Melissa's house. My plans changed at the last minute and could not attend. We had a elvis tribute artist that is a good friend of ours come to our house. He wanted to do a free show for my dad to celebrate the completion of his chemo and radiation. My dad is a huge elvis fan, so we could not turn down the offer. Hope to catch the next get together or reunion. Take care, and hope to hear from you soon.

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you. I don't often get on this site. I have become used to keeping to myself. I am working on that!''
I am sorry for the confusion about where I live. I live in Huntsville. Kathryn graduates next year and I am planning on moving then. She, like Sarah, plans to attend UAB so I plan to move closer to home then.
I am planning on visiting Hueytown this summer. I will call you when I get there and, hopefully, we can meet somewhere.
