When I was in school at McNeil I loved school. When I was bussed to Hueytown....well it wasn't McNeil.
I had Mrs. Crocker in the sixth grade. I hated it when she clenched her teeth and scolded me. Ya'll remember our "show" on PBS TV ? It was about Washington at Valley Forge.Why she chose me to be George, I'll never know. I have A LOT of fond memories…

Hey, everybody---I remembered Mrs. Crocker's name last week and ran it past my sister who did have Mrs. Crocker and she agreed. Mrs Crocker's first name was Dorthy

- Class of 1961 Have lived in Hoover since 1980. Have thirteen grandchildren, ten girls, three boys, age from twentythree to four years old. Have two sweet dogs Precious and Abby. My wife went to Shade Valley High School. We both still work, she is a bookkeeper for a real estate company, I work at Premiere Chevrolet as a salesman.

- I moved to Sumiton/Dora in '67 - married in '68 - served in the Air Force '69-'73 -- We have 2 children - Joe,Jr. (Jody) and Abigail.
Abbi was born the my dad died. Jody has 3 kids and so does Abbi.
My Mother dies in 2001, she was 94. Jerry still lives in Gardendale but has recently retired from AT&T.

I'm a little slow. Good to hear from you and Eleanor. So sorry about your nephew. Hope kids and grandkids are all doing well. I did hear that Michelle and Ronnie got a divorce and that she moved back here. I'm sure Michelle will do well, but know it's hard with 2 small ones. Hopefully Dan is helping her out..don't know anything about he and Rona. Last I heard of him was when my dad died and he sent my mom a card and a check to the memorial fund for the church which I appreciated. Still working at MDB (30 years) and not planning on retiring. This is not because I don't want to, it's because I haven't figured out how I am gong to live..somehow I did not plan for this. The last 4 or 5 years have been somewhat stressful so I'm ready for some fun now. I have been trying to get in the mood to plan a reunion for the last couple of years ( we're way overdue) but now we will have to wait til '09 (can't believe it is alreay May) or wait til our 50th in 2011. The thing about waiting is I am afraid some of us may not be here. Maybe we should all just go to PC and have a party ..no real planning to speak of. Oh well wait til next year.
From your comment, it seems that you and Eleanor are still working too.. When do we reach the "golden years". Ha! Tell all hello for me.
