Jean, as you may know by now. Laura is a Grandmother.
A girl born Jan. 1 . I cannot remember the name. Fog gets in the way of memory now. Just thought I would let you know
as it passed through my brain.
Take care, Travis.
Hi Jean,
Remember me? I bet you do. So many memories of you, Sandra, Eunice and Uncle Bob. You lived on Avalon Avenue and we lived on the corner of Avalon and Hueytown Road. Every Sunday, Wedenesday when ever the doors were open at the Hueytown Church of Christ my mother had ya'll pick me up.
I remember so much. I adored your Mom and Dad, they made me feel like a real wanted (it's ok) kid.
There are two days in my life I will never forget, never as long as I live. The first being Feb. 14,,,,Valentine Day. Do not know the year but I know I was late for school (Pittman) and Judy Perryman and I had to walk to school. As we scurried along we were right in front of Ms Austelles house on the main road. Facing the oncoming traffic about mid -morning, I saw yalls car, full of all of you and I knew something was wrong, BAD WRONG. AS it turned out Uncle Bob had a heart attack.
Second memory, second trauma Momma made me go to your house to take food etc..! That is when the house I used to go and play in and feel welcomed and loved turned in to a fear for me. So many people were there. That was when someone spoke up and said something about SNORING. Just a conversation in general but you Mom, Mrs. Lawrence, Eunice, picked up a picture of your daddy and she broke down and said ,"SNORING WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MUSIC SHE HAD EVER HEARD".
I have been married to Rod for 39 years and he can snore the tops out of trees.........but each and every time he snores. I think this is the most beautiful music I have ever heard".
We have been living in Pelham since 2002. I used to see your Mom and get great hugs from her. Please let me know of her and tell Sandra, March 12 (thinking) Happy Birthday.
Hope not to overfloor you, but it was a base I needed to touch. Love, Keta
Hey girl, yes. still there only closer home at the Bessemer
location. North Highlands was a long time ago. Many great memories. Our paths did not cross much in high school.
We were keptt pretty much in the same tracts . That is why i
went out for football, to meet people. I loved it, but also it took
up lots of socilal time, so some things are a blur.
My grandson is in the 3 rd grade this year and ever now then
I get to go by the school. Every grade has 3-4 classes not
2 like when we were there. guess who has a son in the same grade as ny grandson. Steve Corvin. He also has a daughter
