- About Me:
- I am a 1969 graduate of HHS (although I was not pictured in the annual) and a graduate of The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville, (formely Baptist Bible Institute) 1977. I am married to Vicki Melvin Hood form Midfield, AL. I have three daughters, Miranda is married to John Rolen. they have given us two great kids. Thomas (7) and Chloe (2) John is Chef at Bottega on Highland avenue in Birmingham, and Miranda works part time at Chez FonFon. My second daughter Somer was attending UNA in Florence,AL studying education in her second year (May, 2000), we discovered she had a very large Brain Tumor. She lived on for three and a half more years and went home to heaven in Sept. 2003. See SOMERHOOD.COM, or myspace.com/somerhood. God Blessed us with another beauty when Somer was fifteen, her name is Abigail and she in now twelve. As Forrest Gump would say shes not like me she is Very Smart. We live in Tuscumbia, Al where I am a bi-vocational preacher, and Parts manager At Toyota. Vicki keeps the fort cozy and the stove hot and tends to our other family addition a Bichon Frishe named Punkin.

Walter Swain said… - Gordo, I wasn't planning on coming to the Rutledge reunion because I went to Pittman. However I did work with a lot of Rutledge guys at Bruno's in Midfield but that was after we were all at HHS. Looking forward to seeing you this summer. -W
