Class of 1976. I married Glenda Rizzo (from Ensley) in 1989 and we have 2 boys. Thomas our oldest was born in 1993 and Daniel, born 22 months later. We have lived in Pleasant Grove since we married and the boys both attend Pleasant Grove High. Thomas is currently in the 9th grade (3/20/09 as I type this) and marches in the band playing the tuba. He's a big boy at 6ft and 185lbs and growing visibly daily. Daniel is in the 7th grade and plays on the middle school baseball team. Both boys make straight A's and Glenda and I couldn't be more proud of them. Glenda works at AmSouth (Regions...whatever it is this week.....) and has for 25 years now. We all attend Bethel Baptist in PG and are very active. I am part owner of a jewelry store in Hoover with my brothers, Frank and Jason. We've been in the jewelry business now for a little over a decade, starting in the wholesale business and adding our retail store about 6 years ago. Those of you that still live in the Jefferson Co general area might have heard our goofy Jewelers3 commercials on WJOX or WYSF. When I'm not chasing children or working in the yard, I like to tinker with my 1969 GTO. I've been told it's my mid-life crisis on wheels. I bought it about 7 years ago and it's a great way to clear my head after a long day.
Hey David!
Thanks and a belated Happy Birthday to you! You're right about my not getting on here very often, but I do check e-mail once a week or so and I saw where you had left a comment. It's good to hear from you and I think we're all making "old age" look a lot younger!!!! Remember when you "couldn't trust anyone over 30?!?" Ouch!

just before russ turned 16 (now 24) several people commented how sorry they were for me that he'd soon be driving. my response was always, "i wish i could have signed some document .. or paid some fee for him to drive at FIFTEEN!! it would have saved years off my life!" i know what you're saying abt having to KILL yourself to get them where they gotta be. it was a RELIEF for russ to get his license and start drivin' for himself!! it'll be here before you know. and will be a relief for you too.
