I am a 1965 graduate of HHS, married to Larry Vincent (class of 1962), have one daughter, Shannon Grant (husband is Gavin Grant), one granddaughter, Annie Thompson Grant, age 2. I retired from the Social Security Administration 5 years ago after working for the government for 35+ years. Larry also retired that year and we sold our home in Huffman and moved to beautiful Smith Lake in Jasper. Retirement at the lake is good but we miss being close to our granddaughter who lives in Pinson.
Shirley and I have fished in the mouth of Rock Creek a lot. We use to have a ski boat in dry storage at Richards Marina, a short distance from where you live, but sold that boat about three years ago. We now have a center console that we really like. I think I know where ya'll live and we will try to look you up the next time we are in your area. We will call before we come. The best to you and yours. david/shirley
Carol I don't know if you remember me but I remember you. From the looks of your picture life has been good to you and your family. Smith Lake is one of our favorite fishing places. Shirley likes to fish more than I do so we go often. Continued health and happiness. david
Carol, Jerelyn is not on this website but I forwarded your email to her earlier today. The following is from Jerelyn to you. Jan
Carol,
I have called Janice's home number several times but never been able to talk to her. I long to touch base with her again after all these years and have some time together. I have been praying for her and the family for the past five years since I've been back in Alabama. Would you please pass this along to her and ask her to call me sometime at 256-582-9730 (home) or 256-572-5725 (cell). I am praying with both of your concerning your Dad. I know this is a difficult time for you. Daddy doesn't think he's going to live much longer since Mother died, but he still goes to work at Premier Chevrolet every day which we think is remarkable.
I am Jerelyn's sister. I heard that your dad is not doing well and Jerelyn wanted to get in touch with Janice. She has tried and tried to contact her over the last few years but never seems to get through to her. Will you pass this along to Janice? If you remember, Jerelyn and Janice were really close in school.
Your beautiful daughter looks like a Jones to me and Annie is is a little doll!!!! I know you must miss them terribly. Nothing is like family!!!

LOL....re all those little girls. Between my two daughters, I have 5 grandsons and 4 of them are 7 and under. So I know all about bunches of little boys. That gets pretty "wild and crazy," too! BTW - Did you know my youngest daughter, Leslie, started keeping Gracie today? She loves kids and has 3 boys ages 7, 4 and 3. I think they've all had a good time so far today...played in the backyard this morning and then went to the library for the summer reading program...last time I talked to Leslie it was "nap-time." (not sure who needed it more, Leslie or the kids!) :)
Just checking in....still don't see Janice on here yet and I'm pretty sure she is with you at the lake today. Please tell her I said "hello" and to "get on this site!!!!"
Hope ya'll have had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.
