Congrats to my daughter Devyn....she auditioned for the HHS Color Guard today and made it! I am so proud of her. She worked very hard at clinic this past week. Ahh the memories... football game fun, pep rallies, 7am band practice-with wet grassy sho…
I married Barry Porter in 2004 after being single for 10yrs. We have 3 girls. Katlin (his) age 15, Devyn (mine) age 14, and Zoe (ours) age 2. (Yes, I had another baby at 42-yikes!!)
I love Jesus and attend Concord Baptist. Our two beautiful teenagers are both very active in church and it's a joy to see them praisin' Jesus and growing in the Lord.
I graduated from Samford University in '87. I was a youth minister, (which is what I went to school for) for a couple of years until I was forced to pursue a different direction due to a bad divorce. I then worked in retail management for several years and finally settled down into the dental world. I am currently office manager for a growing practice in Hoover and have been there for 8 1/2 years now---- so if ya need ya teeth fixed let me know!

Hey Carla - it looks like I will be seeing you at the football games this fall! My youngest is in the Band - on the drumline during Marching Season. I've had such a great time the past two years reliving all those "Golden Girl" times. They even started calling them the "Golden Girls" again last year after a conversation I had with the former sponsor. It's a lot of fun and I can't wait to get to visit with you!
Yes, he is in Fragile Existence. I remember the birthday party. Come visit North Highlands. We love it. We had been members of Pleasant Ridge since 1988 and my daughter wanted to start going to North Highlands with some of her friends. My son never wanted to leave PRBC but since he was at college, we decided to try North Highlands and we fell in love with it. Mark Elmore, Perry Brown are a few from 1982 that go there. Let me know if ya'll decide to give it a try.
hey, Carla....great to hear from u....your girls are beautiful...hey, after marrying Fred in '04, I got preggers twice and miscarried both times...would've been a mom in my early 40's as well....we did fertility and thought about adoption, but decided it wasn't in God's plan...so, he is a wonderful step-dad to my 2 from my previous marriage....really wish he could've been a dad to his own...but, wow, that is awesome that it worked for u 2!!that is amazing!!hope u are well...take care!(((HUGS))
Carla, You have such a beautiful family. Katlin, Devyn, and Zoe are
precious. What a blessing it is to have 3 beautiful young girls. I hope
to hear back from you soon.

Hey Carla, I was just reading your profile about you graduating from
Samford University, to become a youth minister for 2 years. That is
what my daughter's boyfriend Aaron is doing right now. This is his
first year at Samford, and he is loving it.
Love, Tammy
Hey Carla! How are you? I have been over to Concord Baptist several times, but didn't run in to you or didn't recognize you. We go to North Highlands but my children have gone on trips with Concord, so we have came over there several times for things. My son's band, has played over there a couple of times for the youth.
spread the word...since our lame class never had a 20 or 25 year reunion I'm hosting a reception at my store thanksgiving weekend when folks are in town visiting...its listed on the main page under events...hope you can make it
