Mr Dennis - I will always consider him my favorite! He gave you confidence when you did well in his class and always praised the student and made them feel good about themselves!!

What year did you graduate?
1992
About Me:
I graduated HHS in 1992. I went to University of Alabama and graduated in 1998 with a degree in Public Relations. I had a wonderful time there and really enjoyed my college years - miss the carefree days. I've been married to Lance for 13 years whom I met in college and have two kids - Caroline Grace age 8 (born 7/2/01) and Andrew "Drew" Thomas age 5 (born 9/30/04). We moved from Tuscaloosa in October of 2001 and lived in Boynton Beach (South Florida) between Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach for a year before moving to Gainesville, FL for 3 more years. I miss Florida (except for the hurricanes and power outages I experienced there in 2004) and all the fun things there were to do there but we left to come here to the Atlanta area in early 2006 for my husband's job as spokesperson for Emory Healthcare in Atlanta. I previously worked at the University of Florida as an Academic Advisor and here in Georgia, I am the Associate Registrar for University of West Georgia. I can't believe I am in my thirties and I don't feel any older either but I must be because all of the college students I work around answer me with yes m'aam and call me Mrs!! LOL!

So So Sick of the Gas Prices!!!

I just need to vent! I have about had it with the gas prices! My husband and I have far commutes to work. He works downtown in Atlanta (20 mile commute) and I work in a town going the opposite direction toward the Alabama border (25 miles from where I live in Douglasville, GA) and gas is costing us 700.00 a month to go to work! I drive a Honda Pilot SUV and he drives a truck and the cost is just eating us alive! When is enough going to be enough and they start going back down again?!! I came bac… Continue

My daughter received a math award

I am so proud of her - she's in first grade and got an Excellent Mathematician award at her Elementary School ceremony earlier today. I was NEVER good in math, neither was my husband and so many careers that make great money require good math skills. I am hoping this gives her the confidence to continue to do well in it.

It's been a long time since I've been back to Alabama since I was 15, I don't remember all the names of the churches I went to. The last one, I know, was a baptist church. Hey, do you, by chance, still talk to Brett Taft? I followed him when he was @ bama, but then lost track of him in the minors. Someone said that he actually made it to the pros. It was good to talk to you again Allison. Take care & keep in touch.

Hey Allison! Don't know if you remember me, but stumbled across your profile here. You are still just as pretty as ever and your kids are absolutely adorable! I know your Daddy would be so proud of them. How is your Mom? I haven't seen her in a long time. Glad to see you so happy and doing well. Just wanted to drop by & say hello.

Hi Allison,
I think there are probably more of us than we realize. We've just been bullied into silence, and made to feel like we are second-class citizens for so many years. We are also considered to be unpatriotic and godless. It's ridiculous! I haven't been so happy after an election since 1996. The current administration managed to stay in office by preying on the fears of the ignorant. The democrats didn't have a candidate strong enough to fight it until now.
Now that we have an extremely intelligent, educated, compassionate president-elect, I have hope for our future. Obama will represent all of the people, not just the rich and big business. I also believe that our relationship with the rest of the world will improve considerably, and our status as the greatest nation in the world will be restored. I'm so happy!

YOUR children are BEAUTIFUL! The young woman who just bought the house across the street from me is in PR and I think she's great. She's very nice and friendly and her father is one of the Walden's of Capricorn records (Macon); as in Otis Redding and Lynard Skynard and The Allman Brothers. The Big House is about 2 blocks from my house and they are trying to turn it into an Allman Brothers' museum. I realize you are a little young to remember all that, but thought I'ld let you know my PR neighbor has a lot of fun and seems very happy.

AMEN Allison!!! And I have been celebrating all day. I feel so hopeful and believe me I PRAY a lot. There are mostly Republicans around me in Macon, but there are also Democrats. I've never been so conscious of it as in the last 10 years. My husband is Republican. It's fun. You are very wise to be so young!!

I am laughing reading your comment because it sounds just like Abby. I have had so many battles with her about clothes this page does not have enough space to go into details, but I have finally given up on the battles. I let her decide what she wants to wear and have read that the more you make it a battleground the more they will fight you about it. So, my advice is to allow her to dress herself and as much as it kills you, let her wear what she wants to wear. Abby did that last year and one of her friends said something about her wearing the same shirt all the time and I think that finally got through to her. She tries a little more now to look presentable, but somedays she just wants to wear a t-shirt and soccer shorts. Mike said that Tiffany was like that and then one day she decided to be a girl. I am not going to kid you. It is very hard to do!!!

We run Datatel, but I hate it sometimes. I have heard that Banner is not much better though. We have to do queries to get any information out of our system. The "canned reports" are terrible. Anyway, it was just an idea that I had and thought it would be nice to go somewhere where we knew someone.
