So here's the headline: Country Girl from Deep South Marries Chinese Boy from L.A.- Hilarity Ensues

I've got a great life with my husband, Hahn, and our six kids. It's full of activity, noise, comedy, surprises, sports and more noise. I've spent the last 14 years homeschooling the kids. I'm proud to say I have managed to avoid Julia Tutwiler Prison and not killed or seriously maimed/injured anyone. I didn't know I liked kids till I had them. Obviously, I like them alot. Well, mine. I may not like yours. Mine, I know I can threaten with a beating if they misbehave.

My precious sweet, tolerant husband is a physical therapist(who can't seem to fix his own wife, but that's another story and I'm not complaining). He coaches baseball, owns his own PT clinic, works part time at the hospital and per diem at a nursing home and still manages to take me out on a date once a week. He's learned those two beautiful little words that make any marriage work "Yes, Ma'am." Sometimes he mumbles them in his sleep. He's a good man.

The Reader's Digest Condensed version on the kids: Cat- 19, in college majoring in whatever was drawn from the hat this week; Liz- 17, barista at a Target Starbucks (is that a real Starbucks?); Peter- 12, who's going to make a great grandfather one of these days; Boogie- 9, eats, sleeps dreams about baseball; Josh-8, eats, sleeps, dreams about how to defend himself against his older brothers; and then the caboose: Aidan- 3, his name means Firey and Dan Thigpen calls him Pocketsize Evil, I think that bout sums it up.

I love my kids, don't be surprised when you meet them to be blown away by their super good looks and keen intelligence. I don't know how the heck it happened that I've got terrific kids, but I do. BTW- I KNOW the boys don't look a thing like me, I tell everyone that there's just enough white in them to take the edge off the Chinese.
