About Me:

I am married to Donnie Champion who attended Jess Lanier, class of '74, for 25 years. I met him at Auburn. He is employed by General Elecitric- Home and Rec. Financing Division. We have lived in Memphis, Little Rock, Laguna Niguel, CA and for the past 13 years, Charlotte,NC. I have worked as a Speech Pathologist, Personnel Mangaer, Autistic Teacher, and currently a Special Education Teacher. We have one daughter, Hollie - 12 years old.

I have a son with Asperger's and am planning a book about keeping families affected by autism together and healthy. Small world, isn't it? It was great seeing you. I remember when we were living away from Birmingham and came back to the 10 year reunion. It made me more homesick than I already was. We were able to get back a few years later.

The planning for the reunion was as much fun as the actual night. Please let us know when you come back to visit your mother in the future. We can get some people together to go out.

I will bring it up then. Probably, we will meet in the park right outside the stadium. they allow tailgating now...just like college games. It is really a different feeling at Hueytown games since Coach Smith arrived.
