I remember the bridges over the sloughs and jumping off the "hangout" into the water. Camping on "snake Island" and yes, I remember deputy dog so I must not be wet behind the ears.

I am ashamed to say I was there when the bridges were still over the sloughs. I guess my times there were from private park to state park. I f you dont remember deputy dog you are wet behind the ears.

Loved Wind Creek! We started out in a tent, graduated all the way to a motor home. It was really great before it became a state park.

What a great time my family had there! Dad would pull the travel trailer and mom would pull the boat. Lots of great memories.

Those were the good ole days! We went camping there every year for 2 weeks when the coal mines closed down for vacation with all of the families of the other coal miners. Lots of fun. I remember learning to ski there and many good times.

Spent many nights inside a tent on the ground in a sleeping bag at Wind Creek and LOVED IT! That was the 60's growing up. Learned to water ski there too. Thought we were BIG TIME with the travel trailers in the 70's & 80's. Now we sponge off our friends with a home on Lake Martin....ha! Love it, many many wonderful memories of a lifetime.

My family used to go camping at Wind Creek twice a month during the summer months. I loved spending time at the hang-outs and meeting new people. I remember the good rock shows they had. The last time I visited, it was not the same.

I spent alot of my life at Wind Creek. We always camped there several times every summer. Had so much fun at night, as all the young people got together at the "hang-out" Spent most of the day skiing, then fixing hair,etc. for the night! So fun!

I wish someone had pics of the park before they renovated it. Up until December, I lived 7 min from Wind Creek. They have rental cabins now.

Hell yeah! I love some Wind Creek. Haven't heard anyone talk about it since I graduated high school.
