wow! are you sure you have the right pictures? I could swear that place was much fancier! loved going there could skate every night if my mom would have let me. Also, I would like to know if anyone knows farrel aldrich or aldridge. can't remember exactly how his name was spelled. I know he used to skate there too.

I found out why the name Dalton Strickland was familiar. He was a good friend of my brother-in-law. Dalton, Kenny Braswell and my brother-in-law, William Burrage, were the 3 Musketeers. {Or the 3 Stooges depending on the day of the week}

My oldest sister, Elizabeth, would have been 67 this year so it must have been her that had the crush. I'll ask my sister Betty, she and Libba were the oldest and she might remember

I remember the wedding well!! They made me wear a dress and I pouted because your Uncle Peck made fun of me for looking like a little girl!! I was such a mean little "tom-boy" brat!!

Becki, he would be somewhere around 66 - 68. Nita, it's a possibility Vicky is one of his sisters. He has several brothers and sisters. I know one of them is Norma Lee. My Aunt Sandra will try to find her pictures of the "wedding on skates".

The only Strickland I remember is Vicky Strickland. She and my sister were, and still are, good friends.

Oh Lord, I remember the name Dalton Strickland but I don't remember why Maybe one of my older sisters had a crush on him or something. How old would he be now?

I don't actually "have" the photo, Mom does. The next time I go to her house (probably a week or so) I'll get it to scan. I'll be sure to ask them about the "wedding on skates". There are actually two pictures of Mom. The guy with her in one of them is Dalton Strickland. She ran off to Georgia to marry him and chickened out. She married my dad shortly afterwards.
