Well Melinda. It seems the concept of your forum was a great idea. What happened to the execution? Or has it become separate forums within a forum?

Ahhhh. Divorce. The one word which instills fear, loathing, anger, glee, tears, joy, laughter, groans, moans, fits of cursing (angelic and/or devilish), and many other emotions too numerous to list at this time. A word when you look into the mirror and say it outloud sounds as empty as an abandoned building. A word which just by it's exclaimation can destroy the spirit, or rejuvenate it. No matter. Divorce is one of the words none who have married ever dream of hearing, nor wish to hear. And for those who have never married, a word unlikely to be heard unless the boss uses it versus "you're fired".......and that goes into another forum. (No, I haven't been fired). Divorce is a time to reflect, a time to pet the dog/cat, a time to make positive changes, and a time to finally wash the car and clean all the junk out of the back seat that's been there since the kids were back there last (just hope they're not still back there). Let's cry, laugh, think and grow from divorce....and hope it never happens again, but if it does, we can always rejoin this forum. Right?

It is only a matter of time and we will be back in the race again. Open now and allow the love of your life to come in. When we let go of the emotional strings of the past, our future opens up and someone comes in to accept our love and give us the love we need in return. One, Dakota

Melinda, did ya'll decide to go out any time soon? The holidays can be both hectic and empty. Let me know a time and place. I'll meet the group.

OK....for location.....how far away is everyone? I am still living in Concord/Hueytown...but I would hate for someone have to drive miles and miles to get back to hueytown. I was tentatively thinking Bright Star but didn't know if that was too far out of everyone's way. Just keep the feedback coming.

Melissa -
I am glad that it hasn't seem to affected the kids. The first Christmas all Ashlyn culd say was that her daddy had ruined it. It was very trying, but each year just gets better as you begin to build YOUR life back. Just keep in mind that what we think we miss is the "way it used to be" when in reality what we miss "is the way it SHOULD have been". I finally saw that the whole mess I went through was God getting me OUT of a situation that if I had stayed in, would been extremely emotional and financially devastating. and I think sometimes we have to go through things that only those particular things can mold our personality to be what HE needs us to be. I know, sounds like Dr. Phil, but I went through a rough spot and sometimes I think I did so I could offer my help to other people. Anyway -- about the fun stuff!!! Let's have a party!! Whatever is good with yall is good with me (sorry though, I went through the bar thing when I was first single and got a good belly full of it. I think meeting somewhere has a group for dinner would be nice. That way whoever wants a drink can have one.
