I was baptised in the "River Jordan" The old church building's baptistry was a artistic relief of a river with a tree over taking the whole baptistry with a stream painted in the background. Bro. Jones placed a hankerchief over my nose so I wouldn't choke. I loved that old santuary. It was 1955 and I was 8 years old. Lived on Dabbs Ave four houses down from the preacher. Juddy was my best friend. Juddy used to have a dog. Every time he got rabbi shots Juddy would just add the tag to his collar. All those tags used to jingle when the dog walked. One night at prayer meeting someone left the main door open (because it was hot) As we were having those long sentence prayers, everyone began to hear jingle, jingle, jingle down the aisle. Juddy's dog was walking the isle; I guess he was making his profession of faith.

Hi Guy's,
October 24th will be the first night of PRBC's Destinations 2009. Please pray that we will reach those that need to make that decision to accept Chirst as their savior. We have had 1,000 people go through the drama for the past two years. Around 40 conversions and rededications. Pray for success again this year as the different churches that come together to present this to spread the word of God and His offer of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.
It starts at 6:30 PM each night and ends at 9:30PM

I was baptized at PRBC when I was 10 yrs old. Dr. Harris sat down with me several times and answered what ever questions I had. I have many wonderful memories of trips, friends and Sunday school teachers.

I've been gone for several years also but my fondest memories of church will always be with the PRBC family. Most of my best friends were made there or at HHS. Both my daughters were baptized there and I had the privilege of being with my mother when she was baptized there after many years as a Christian. I could never express enough my gratitude to the people who visited Mother and Daddy after they were unable to attend b/c of Daddy's Parkinson's. I know God will bless and reward each and every one of you and the sweet family there.

Have been gone since 1979. PRBC still #1 in my heart.
