Remember the days of riding in what was called the horse trails behind Pittman Jr High School!!! I remember one time me and Robby Parker had a secret track out there that you would have to move a bunch of brush to find it. One day we decided to burn off some weeds to make a larger starting line area, I told Robby we better stomp out the fire with our motocross boots before it got too close to a tree, he said no let it burn a little bit further. All of the sudden it caught a bunch of brush at the bottom of the tree on fire and went up the tree. We had to ride back to the house to get shovels and a bucket of water and recruit help to come and put the fire out. it took us several hours and we all got blisters on our faces but we kept the fire from jumping the main trail, although then our secret track was no longer secret and everyone started riding on it and ruined our homemade jumps!!!
ANYONE ELSE HAVE ANY GOOD STORIES TO TELL PLEASE ADD THEM!!!

Any 'night owl' riders? Sure I can ride in daylight, if it's pre-arranged or during my scheduled off nights. Most of the time I ride at night, alone. Amazing what one can 'see' on the darkened roadways.

Hi Charlie, Sorry I haven't been able to get on this sight for awhile, that picture is of me on one of my xr 75's I think we were racing in Kansas or it may have been Ohio, when that photo was taken, I hope to be able to add more photos of some of our racing days but I don't get to get on the computer at home very often due to the wife and kids always on it, also I stay behind on my honeydo lists, but maybe one day soon I'll get a chance to add some pics.

I grew up with Billy Wade and yes we rode the horse trails to. Skipping school one day, Hueytown was chasing us towards Billy's house. We all rode into his basement to hide and my brother couldn't stop. Hit the washing machine. Billy's mama wasn't happy and it gave up the fact that we were skipping !! I raced way back in late 70's early 80's. Now I'm wrenching for my son as he races. I'm lovin it !!

Also praying for Rick Lackey and his wife Charlette a quick recovery. It will take a lot more than a little asphalt to take out Rick. That is one tough son of a gun!
Hey by the way, if you are going to haul something in the back of your truck strap it down where it doesn't come out!

Here's hoping that Rick Lackey and his wife have a quick recovery from their spill on I-459 the other day.

Charlie & I have a Harley Davidson 2003 Heritage Special Edition. We love riding most anywhere, especially with Steve & Janice Layton and Tim and Linda Layton. We've had great rides through, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina, in the past several years!
