Hey JER. According to my calculations, that newspaper clipping is 50 years old ! Where has the time gone ? You mentioned Mickey Ingle, do you know where he is? He and I were "buddies" at McNeil JH. Again, I want to wish you and yours "Happy Holidays" and may God bless ! JVP

I remember the "show" you are talking about , Joe, I was the moderator. I think you were a good pick for Washington all presidential and such. I was wondering the other day about Davey Erwin. I think he was a fireman for a while but haven't heard of him in years. I have some old News clipping from the Mrs. Crocker era where Sen. Huddleston visited McNeil and Davey was in them as was Reggie Beasley, Danny Pitts, Bill Carrol, Deborah McDaniel,Mickey Ingle,Martha Gilbert, Patricia Johnson and myself. Date on the paper says Nov.12,1959.

Just heard Billy Kings Dad passed away last week, keep him in your thoughts. It is so hard to loose someone.

When I was in school at McNeil I loved school. When I was bussed to Hueytown....well it wasn't McNeil.

I had Mrs. Crocker in the sixth grade. I hated it when she clenched her teeth and scolded me. Ya'll remember our "show" on PBS TV ? It was about Washington at Valley Forge.Why she chose me to be George, I'll never know. I have A LOT of fond memories of McNeil, some of the happiest days of my life.

Yes since you mention her name as Dorothy that is correct. As we get older
names slip our minds or mine anyway.

Hey, everybody---I remembered Mrs. Crocker's name last week and ran it past my sister who did have Mrs. Crocker and she agreed. Mrs Crocker's first name was Dorthy

Tarsha those were the days...I remember all of those teachers. We had so much fun with our peers and with the teachers too.

McNeil Junior High School, we had the greatest times from 1st grade to the 7th grade. Mrs. Brewer, Ingram, Skipwith,Cronan, Means, Mr. Lamb, Mrs. Williams, Connor, Saxon,Elder, Mr. Norman, Bruce, Lidge, Payne,Norman, Mr.Colston, Yarborough, the lunch room workers, Mr. John Kelley, Mrs. Smith, Jones (2). Teen times, sock offs, may pole invent.
