David stayed at our house all most as much as he did his own. We loved him like a son and he knew we did. He had a lot of late nights out side talking to Kenneth about his life and every thing in between. I'll always miss him. Our daughter married a guy a lot like David, thank the Lord he has calmed down. I love you David and always will. David and Ken got into a lot of stuff, not real bad, they just had a lot of fun and were free as a bird. Even though a lot of that motor cycle stuff scared me.They loved each other like brothers. Jennifer loved him like a one too. He always knew he was welcomed in our home no matter what.

From the moment David found out my whole name he used it every time we saw each other, The last time we laid eyes on each other I was walking in the Hueytown Christmas Parade. I did not expect to have that name come from his lips and then they came Ronald Paul. No other person in my life even my parents called me that I sincerly Miss it, David touched so many of us in so many ways. Some of us more than others I still speak of him frequently, and Man could he ride or drive anything he sat on, or put his hands on . Miss You and Thanks for the memories, your friend Ronald Paul Matson

I have just found this site, and I find that another mate from the past isn't with us anymore.

I am so glad to see all these names, but I am also saddened by what I have missed.

I remember him as a daredevil and he took me with him on a dare.

David and I used to ride togther; all over those coal roads and on top of the slate dumps. David would be doing 50 or 60 MPH on the three wheller and jump off of the slate dumps and tun around and give me a bird with both hands. Now tihis was in 86,87and88 and nobody did stuff like this on the motorcross circuit. I did not want to jump off of a 100 foot hill so you know how he was with the name calling and telling me how easy it was, unitl he got me pumpped up so I would jump it. Well I went at it doing about 50 hit and sailed to the bottom just bearly catchng the hill to use as a landing ramp. I would have never done anything like that if it was not for him. That boy was a one of a kind. He is missed dearly. He was the hole reason I bought a pair of red white and blue vans. Then they got all shot up from a shotgun while they were still on my feet. David and some other people in the lunchroom started calling my Buckshot. And that stuck for a long time. Well God must have needed somthing so daring that no other angel would do it; for hime to take David Dillard. He is probably riding around with Barry Hooper right now in a chop top el Camino looking down at us....
