Tommy,
I am still trying to remember the names of all the cheerleaders in the first picture. I am taking it with me to the class reunion & I hope Penny or someone can help me with the names I don't remember. I am going to look for my cheerleader patch so I can post it on here too

I spoke with Coach Hugh Craig on Monday June 16. Coach Craig is doing well and will be eighty (80) years old in April '09. Coach Craig left Pittman to teach and coach at John Carroll for a number of years then finished his career in education with the Jefferson County Board of Education

Hi Bill -- Great to hear from you! I understand Coach Craig still lives in Birmingham so I'm going to contact him this week. Are you still in touch with any of your 1963 HHS class who were on the '59 Pittman team? Other than Hinky and some of those in my 1964 HHS class, I've lost track.

Hey Tommy, thanks for bring back great memories for old number 22 on the 1959 team. Your photos are fantastic. Coach Graig was a great guy. Glad to hear you are doing well in Atlanta.

Do you still have your jacket with that patch on it or just the patch. I probably have my cheerleader letter somewhere, but hope no one would make me find it soon!! It's more than likely in a box in my attic!!

Good idea for this one! I remember that season very well. Remember going to Montgomery and playing Capital Heights? That was really a big deal back then. And going as far away as McAdory......way out in the country!! We had to leave around 5 to be there for a 7:00 game!! Those were the good old days!
